Fabio Di Giannantonio is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer who rides the number 49 Ducati for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. He has won two MotoGP races and five Grands Prix in all, and joins Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2027.

The Junior Classes He came through Moto3 with Gresini from 2015, taking two wins in 2018 and finishing runner-up in the championship. Three Moto2 seasons followed, two with Speed Up and one back at Gresini, where he won at Jerez in 2021 and finished seventh.

Dropped, Then First He reached MotoGP with Gresini in 2022 and scored 24 points all year. In October 2023 the team announced Marc Márquez would take his seat for 2024. What followed was the best form of his career: a first premier-class podium at Phillip Island, and five weeks after the announcement, his maiden Grand Prix victory in Qatar.

Chapter 01

The Junior Classes

He arrived in Moto3 with Gresini in 2015 and spent four seasons there, improving each year: sixth in 2016, fifth in 2017, then two wins, six podiums and second in the championship in 2018. Moto2 was harder. Two years with Speed Up brought four podiums and no victories, and a fifteenth-place season in 2020 that could have ended things. A return to Gresini for 2021 produced a win at Jerez and seventh overall, which was enough for a MotoGP seat.

Chapter 02

Dropped, Then First

His first premier-class season, in 2022, brought 24 points and twentieth place, redeemed only by a pole position at Mugello. The second was better but not obviously enough: on 12 October 2023, Gresini announced that Marc Márquez would take his seat for 2024, leaving him without a ride. What happened next made his career. He took a first MotoGP podium at Phillip Island, then went to Qatar in November and won, finishing 2.734 seconds clear of the reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia. He ended the year twelfth.

Chapter 03

VR46

The late run kept him in MotoGP: VR46 signed him for 2024, replacing Luca Marini, and he finished tenth with only one result outside the top ten all season. A contract extension and factory equipment followed. In 2025 he took four podiums, including a first at home at Mugello after passing Bagnaia on the penultimate lap, and finished sixth. In May 2026 he won the Catalan Grand Prix — 910 days after Qatar — and by mid-August stood third in the championship. He moves to Red Bull KTM in 2027.
