Isack Hadjar: Full Biography
Isack Hadjar is a French and Algerian racing driver who competes in Formula 1 for Red Bull Racing under the French flag. Born in Paris in 2004, he has taken one podium finish and 119 points from 34 Grand Prix starts.
The Junior Years He began karting at seven and reached single-seaters in 2019, finishing third in the French F4 Championship in 2020 and fifth in Formula Regional European in 2021. He joined the Red Bull Junior Team in 2022, took three wins on his way to fourth in FIA Formula 3, and after a difficult first Formula 2 season with Hitech returned in 2024 with Campos to finish runner-up to Gabriel Bortoleto. French media took to calling him le Petit Prost.
A Rookie Season of Two Halves Racing Bulls gave him a debut in 2025 that ended before it began — he spun into the barriers on the formation lap in Melbourne and never started. From there he scored in ten Grands Prix, and at Zandvoort in August he brought the VCARB 02 home third for his first Formula 1 podium, becoming the youngest Frenchman to stand on a Formula 1 rostrum.
The Senior Seat Red Bull moved him up for 2026 in place of Yuki Tsunoda, partnering Max Verstappen under the new regulations. He qualified third on his first outing for the team in Australia and lost the result to an early engine failure. He carries the number 6, the number that was already on the first kart he was given as a child.
