Joseph Thomas Logano is an American stock car racing driver, born on 24 May 1990 in Middletown, Connecticut. He drives the No. 22 Ford Mustang for Team Penske and has won three NASCAR Cup Series championships.

He arrived young. The Busch East Series title came in 2007, and he made his Cup debut in 2008 at eighteen, splitting three races between Joe Gibbs Racing and Hall of Fame Racing before taking over the No. 20 Toyota full time.

Penske, and a First Title

Penske Racing signed him into the No. 22 for 2013 and the difference was immediate: eleven top fives and eighth in the championship in his first year, then five wins in 2014. 2015 was better still — six victories including the Daytona 500, twenty-two top fives and twenty-eight top tens. He was championship runner-up in 2016. The title itself came in 2018, with three wins and twenty-six top tens, and it was his first in eleven Cup seasons.
