Oliver Bearman: Full Biography
Oliver Bearman is a British racing driver who competes in Formula 1 for Haas. Born in Chelmsford in 2005, he has taken 66 points from 38 Grand Prix starts, with a best finish of fourth.
The Junior Years He started karting at seven and reached single-seaters in 2020. In 2021 he won both the Italian and the ADAC Formula 4 championships with Van Amersfoort in the same season, and took the Henry Surtees Award. He finished third in FIA Formula 3 as a rookie with Prema in 2022, and joined the Ferrari Driver Academy that year, before two seasons in Formula 2.
The Substitute Carlos Sainz withdrew from the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with appendicitis after second practice, and Bearman was moved from a Formula 2 pole into the Ferrari. At eighteen he became the youngest driver ever to start a Grand Prix for the team, qualified eleventh and finished seventh, and was voted Driver of the Day. He deputised twice more that year for Haas, scoring again in Azerbaijan.
Haas He joined Haas full time in 2025 alongside Esteban Ocon and finished thirteenth in the championship with 41 points, out-scoring his teammate. His fourth place in Mexico City was the best result of his career and of the team’s season. He stayed for 2026 and is contracted to Haas until at least the end of 2027.
